Best of 2009 Blog Challenge. Day 6.
Being the voracious knowledge-seeker I am, I go to a lot of conferences/workshops. My favorite of 2009 was the Team Northrup Annual Retreat. It was the perfect mix of business with pleasure. (My favorite combination.)
Team Northrup is a group of men and women who are aligned with the work of Dr. Christiane Northrup, a leader in the mind-body-spirit connection and women’s health. We are a team of entrepreneurs who create optimal health and vibrant prosperity and teach others to do the same.
Once a year we come together for business training, connection, personal growth sprinkled with a bit of spirituality and fun.
This year’s event took place at the beautiful retreat center and spa called The Crossings in Austin, TX.
Our first evening started with a healthy, nourishing meal of local organic food. It was then followed by a trip into town for some two-steppin’ lessons at the legendary honky-tonk spot, The Broken Spoke.
This evening was so epic, it deserves it’s own post. Stay tuned.
We had two days of connecting, learning, growing and relaxing. Our mornings began with moving our bodies with fantastic Nia classes taught by our very own Team Northup Nia experts.
We learned about doing business with pleasure, niche marketing, the health-wealth connection and the physical benefits of financial freedom.
I had the honor of co-presenting a workshop called “Women and Wealth” with Kate Northrup Moller, Team Northrup co-founder.

After two days of nourishment for the body, mind, spirit and soul, I had to remind myself this event was actually for business because it felt a lot more like pleasure.
We ended our time together with a gratitude circle and I’m grateful still.
